Joe Biden has covid and rumours are circulating that he’s going to pull out of the election race – but he says he won’t.

President Joe Biden declared that he was “not done yet,” despite demands for him to withdraw from the US presidential contest, reports Breaking News.

Reiterating his candidature for reelection, Mr Biden addressed a Detroit crowd, promising to “shine a spotlight on Donald Trump” and what the Republican would do if he were to win the presidency again.

While checking off several items on his own wish list for the first 100 days of his second term, the president responded to chants of “Don’t you quit” and “We got your back” at the same school where he positioned himself as a bridge to the next generation of Democratic leaders four years ago. He also attacked an expansive far-right policy agenda crafted by conservative think tanks, from which Mr. Trump has scrambled to distance himself, reports Breaking News.

“You made me the nominee, no one else — not the press, not the pundits, not the insiders, not donors,” Mr Biden said. “You, the voters. You decided. No one else. And I’m not going anywhere,” reports Breaking News.

The forceful demonstration at the evening event was a part of his team’s unrelenting race to persuade sceptical voters, Democratic lawmakers, and uneasy funders that he is still capable of serving as president at the age of 81 before the election in November.

About twenty House Democrats and one Democratic senator have openly urged Mr. Biden to resign.

Following a press conference on Friday, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries informed Democrats that he had met in private with Mr. Biden and had shared the “full breadth” of lawmakers’ opinions over the direction of the president’s reelection campaign, reports Breaking News.
