The inauguration of Joe Biden will take place in Washington DC today at 5pm GMT. The 46th President of the United States will not be handed over the keys by President Donald Trump who chose to leave for Florida this morning rather than attend the inauguration.
President Trump and his supporters maintain that Joe Biden did not “legitimately win the election” and the last two months have left a sour taste in their mouth, let alone the inauguration.
Mike Pence will however attend the event but is seen as a coward and a turncoat by President Trump’s supporters.
