Johnson & Johnson has reportedly offered $8.9bn to settle long-standing claims that the company’s talcum powder products cause cancer.
If approved, this would be one of the largest settlements arising from product liability in the United States.
The company stopped selling its baby powder in the United States and Canada in 2020, though Johnson & Johnson has never admitted to any wrongdoing.
