It has been confirmed that the Justice Minister has the right to stop a controversial pick-up artist from entering the country in the interest of national safety or public policy.

The man in question dating guru Julien Blanc has already been told he will not be allowed to enter the UK after their government received an online petition which had more than 150,000 signatures. The controversial figure Blanc has caused a stir worldwide as his views have been branded as inciting violence against women. However the Justice Department has said that they will not comment on individual cases, although a spokesperson said it was possible for the state to deny entry if they wish to do so. It is understood that an online petition has been setup in Ireland seeking to stop Mr Blanc from entering Ireland to host a bootcamp in Dublin next summer has received just over  8,000 signatures.

According to reports the petition claims that “to allow this man into Ireland legitimises sexual assault and predation, and sends a message that women are playthings or objects without agency.” “Australia has already taken a stand by revoking his visa, let us demonstrate that we feel the same way about his message.”
