Several police officers were injured after a big fight broke out in a cinema in Birmingham. Armed police officers were deployed after reports of people with machetes in Star City, Nechells, shortly after 5:30 pm on Saturday.
They found a group of more than 100 people and said pockets of fights were breaking out. The cinema was filled with children lined up to watch Frozen 2.
West Midlands police confirmed that several arrests had been made and that a dispersion order had been established, which means officers could arrest anyone who refused to leave when asked. A witness said that “a child was crying on the ground with his mother” when several young people started fighting.
