The number of appeals to Leaving Cert results has soared to record levels, surpassing over 9,000 students lodging complaints this year.
This figure represents a massive 74% increase on last year’s number.
Education authorities say that the Higher Level Biology paper has been the subject of the higher number of appeals with a total of 2,092.
