The Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris has said that the Tanaiste Leo Varadkar’s apology over his handling of the GP contract leak was good enough for him.
Speaking to Clare FM, the former Minister for Health Harris said what happened should never of happened but the Tanaiste has since apologised and that is good enough for me.
He added that although the information shouldn’t have been disseminated in the way it was, I’m pretty sure that the relevant information was in the public domain.
The former Health Minister said that he still has full confidence in the Tanaiste and he is sure the Tanaiste will cooperate with any Garda investigation.
