A number of local officials are claiming that gangs of teenage thugs are ‘holding their town to ransom.’
Local representatives say that violent incidents in the area between Inchicore and Drimnagh in Dublin are almost a ‘weekly’ occurrence, and have left many residents afraid to walk along the Grand Canal.
Incidents highlighted include a woman sustaining serious injuries after being hit by a scrambler bike, another woman’s hair was set on fire, and a number of incidents of assault, including racially-motivated attacks.
