Longford family apologise over marquee wedding

Four people who were found in breach of public health guidelines following a wedding celebration last week have apologised and have agreed to pay a fine.

According to RTE News, the four men from Co Longford agreed to apologise for the holding of the gathering which occurred last week.

RTE News reports that the four men have also agreed to pay €3,000 each to three local charities.

The ruling comes after Gardai were alerted to a breach of public health guidelines in Longford town last week.

It is believed that up to 100 people attended a wedding celebration at a marquee which was erected on a site within the town last Wednesday.
