Dozens of bodies have reportedly washed up on the shores of the Ganges in India as coronavirus catastrophe worsens.
Local reports say that the bodies might have been dumped into the river as relatives of the deceased could not afford the wood required for the funeral pyre, or perhaps because crematoriums were no longer able to cope with the influx.
Official figures say that around 250,000 people have died from Covid-19-related causes in India so far, but health authorities say that the true number is likely to be far, far higher.
