Renewed travel chaos has been averted after fruitful late night talks at the Labour Relations Commission.

All parties are reported to have agreed to resolve the dispute and cancel the planned 48-hour long strike originally scheduled for this weekend, along with three further days planned for the June Bank Holiday weekend.

It is understood that a five page document specifying the “terms of settlement” had been given to all parties.

The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Paschal Donohoe TD has welcomed the news.
