A gang of people wielding machetes went on a rampage in a Manchester housing estate earlier today, injuring two people.
The incident happened just after noon at the Rochdale estate in Greater Manchester. It is understood that a group of men arrived to the estate in two cars, got out, and smashed the windows of a house. Then, they started attacking people seemingly at random.
Two people sustained stabbing injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.
According to locals, that particular housing estate has seen at least three attacks in recent months.
Local authorities believe that the incident is gang-related, rather than terrorist-related.
