Madeleine McCann’s parents have refused to take part in a Netflix documentary to be released this month

The parents of Madeleine McCann have said that they won’t be taking part in a new Netflix documentary due to be aired later this month about the disappearance of their daughter.

The documentary, which has been in the works for over 18 months, will air on Netflix and be part of their docuseries category.

It’s understood that Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann will not appear in the documentary as they have refused to do so.

The Daily Mail say both parents of missing Madeleine said they wouldn’t appear in the series as an active police investigation is still ongoing.

It is believed that producers of the documentary, which will give accounts from detectives investigating Madeleine’s disappearance, had asked the parents to be involved.

But they reportedly refused as they want nothing to do with it as the investigation is still continuing.
