Police in the UK have revealed the details of how 17-year-old Jodie Chesney was tragically murdered over the weekend.
According to BBC News, Scotland Yard have confirmed that the young woman was stabbed in the back whilst in Harold Hill, in Romford, East London.
Police investigating Jodie’s killing say she was playing music with five friends a mere half an hour before she was stabbed.
It is understood that two males were in the park at 9pm on Friday evening, around the same time Jodie and the group were playing music, but it is believed that they did not interact with the group at that time.
However police say it has been uncovered that the two males returned to the park and approached the group before proceeding to stab the 17-year-old in the back.
A post-mortem examination will has also found that Jodie died of trauma and haemorrhage.
Scotland Yard say they are currently searching for a black male aged in his late teens in connection with the attack.
