The southbound lane of the M50 has been closed due to a major collision. Motorists are being diverted onto the Junction 6 off ramp.
It is understood the accident involves a truck. Units of the Dublin Fire Brigade are currently at the scene dealing with the aftermath.
Traffic being diverted up the Junction 6 slip road may rejoin the M50 past the crash site, as all three southbound lanes are currently closed.
Avoid the area if at all possible.
