There are reports this afternoon about an ongoing incident in Dublin, after two individuals dressed in “police-style” uniforms entered the Regency Hotel in Drumcondra and opened fire inside.
It is understood that a “weigh-in” event was being held in the hotel at the time. The raiders reportedly fired several bursts with assault-type rifles, injuring at least two people.
The event’s organizers, MGM, had advertised the official weigh-in ceremony for the “Clash of the Clans” show via their Facebook page. The ceremony was due to begin at 2pm.
It is unclear at this point whether the shooters fled after the attack of if they remain inside the premises.
Emergency services are at the scene.
