Major investigation underway after attempted abduction of a child in Dublin late Monday night

A major investigation is underway after gardai in North Dublin arrested a man in his 20s following the attempted abduction of a 14-yr-old boy in Finglas, late on Monday night.

Gardai thankfully managed to rescue the boy after he was found in the boot of a car.

It’s understood the boy was found in the boot of a car in Kippure Park, after Gardai pursued a vehicle they perceived to be driving erratically in the area.

Gardai investigating the incident say the driver was arrested after three other men fled the scene.

They say the boy was taken by the gang of men on the Hazelcroft Road.

It’s believed the man was taken to Finglas Garda Station where he is being questioned in relation to the incident.
