
A man who has been charged in relation to the the murder of a mother and two children in Dublin in October will appear in court this morning in Dun Laoghaire.
The man aged in his 30s was questioned by gardai since late on Saturday evening.
The investigation began after the bodies of Seema Banu, 37, her daughter Asfira Syed, 11, and her son Faizan Syed, 6, were discovered at Llewellyn Court in Rathfarnham, south Dublin, October 28.
Gardaà said in a statement that a man in his 30s was arrested on Saturday and was being held at the Dundrum Garda station under Section 4 of the 1984 Criminal Justice Act.
Seema Banu and her family had lived in the South Dublin area for almost a year. The two boys attended a local primary school in Ballinteer. The family moved here from Dubai in February but were originally from India.
Gardai said in a statement on Sunday evening that the man had been charged with the murders and that he will appear in Dun Laoghaire court this morning.
