Gardaí in Cork have begun an investigation after a man was injured following a stabbing incident in the city on Sunday.
It is understood the investigation comes after the man was stabbed at a bar on Sunday evening.
Gardaí say the man was taken Cork University Hospital for treatment on life threatening injuries.
They added that a man aged in his 20s was arrested and is currently being questioned at Bridewell Garda Station.
