Gardaí have confirmed that a man aged in his 40s has sadly died following a workplace accident in Mullingar this morning.
It is understood the man was seriously injured in the incident which happened at Lough Sheever Corporate Park at approximately 8.50am this morning.
Although the man was treated by paramedics at the scene, Gardai investigating the incident sadly confirmed that the man died a short time later at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.
Both the Gardai and Health Safety Authority have begun an investigation into the incident.
