Gardai in Co Cork have confirmed that a man aged in his 70s has died following a road traffic incident.
It is understood that the man died following a single vehicle collision in Ballyedekin, near Middleton at approximately 2pm on Friday.
Gardai say the man was the sole occupant of the vehicle and no one else was injured in the incident.
They added that the man’s body has been taken to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
