A man tragically died when the light aircraft he was flying crashed outside Kilkenny city.
The aircraft came down near the Gowran Cross area, around 6km outside of Kilkenny, on Friday evening.
The man was the only occupant of the plane.
Local authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
