A man in his 20s has been left with ‘life-changing’ injuries, following an aggravated burglary in Cork overnight.
The victim, a 23-year-old father of three, was dragged out of bed at 4am by armed intruders who beat him up badly, doused him with petrol, and set him on fire.
The shocking incident happened at a house on the Dunard Estate in Mayfield, Cork city.
The victim was rushed to hospital with severe burns.
He’s believed to be in a critical condition.
