A man in his 50s has sadly died after being assaulted outside a pub in Co. Longford.
The incident happened in the village of Foigha in the county on Thursday evening.
The victim was taken to Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar, where he died today.
A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the incident.
