A man believed to be in his 50s is currently in critical condition in hospital this morning after he was shot whilst walking his dog in Cabra North Dublin last night.
The man who has not been named is understood to have been shot twice on the Killala Road at approximately 7pm. Gardaí along with the emergency services arrived at the scene a short time later where the man was quickly taken to the Mater Hospital.
Gardaí say an investigation is currently ongoing and the scene has since been preserved for a technical examination.
