A 36-year-old man has been sentenced to two years and four months in prison after pleading guilty to stealing the head of an 800-year-old Crusader in Dublin.
According to RTÉ News, the man was given the sentence after pleading guilty to burglary.
The sentence comes after considerable damage was caused at the vaults at St Michan’s Church between February 23 and 24 this year.
RTÉ News say the man also pleaded guilty to five counts of criminal damage, two of which related to the damaging of a dead body.
