Authorities in France have confirmed that a British skier has died after colliding with a barrier whilst skiing in the French Alps.
According to The Sun newspaper, the 26-year-old man tragically died after striking the barrier on the Les Deux Alpes.
Although a number of attempts were made to resuscitate the man he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
Authorities investigating the incident say the man who was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident was skiing on a course which is used by advanced skiers.
