A serious early-morning crash in County Kerry has left a young man fighting for his life.
The accident, which took place early on Thursday morning, saw a van with four occupants collide with a pole after it left the road. The driver was a young man in his 20s who was seriously injured. He is in a critical condition in hospital.
Three other passengers were also injured and are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The road where the accident took place was closed for a time but has since reopened.
