A man in the UK who told his neighbour he had bad breath will have to pay him £250 in compensation following a hearing in Court.

According to the Daily Mail, 37-year-old Steven Wright became involved in a long-running argument with Colin Jones when the two men lived beside each other in the town of Handforth, Cheshire.

The feud, which erupted over a parking row, is said to have involved wheelie bins belonging to Mr. Jones being moved, leaves and rocks being placed in front of his car.  It was also alleged that Wright turned on a washing machine at night time so that it would create noise.  CCTV cameras installed by Jones were covered up with plastic and the repairs cost €500.00.  A garden fence was damaged.

At one point Wright is said to have called Jones “a f**king w**ker”.  It was also alleged in court that he put his clenched fist underneath Jones’ chin and told him he could smell his breath.  The next day, he posted a toothbrush and toothpaste through Jones’ letterbox.

Mr. Jones eventually moved out and reported Wright to police, saying that the situation caused him a lot of stress and anxiety and affected his quality of life in a very negative way.

Wright was then slapped with a 12-month restraining order against Jones, and ordered to pay  him £250 in compensation along with a fine and court costs.
