
A man has been taken into custody in relation to the theft of a vehicle in Dublin that contained a newborn girl, reports Breaking News.
The incident occurred at Mountjoy Square in Dublin city centre on Monday afternoon.
About 1.50 p.m. on Monday, a silver Nissan Qashqai hatchback that had been taken from Mountjoy Square West had the girl inside.
The north inner city was quickly searched, according to the Gardai, and all patrolling police received emergency notifications, reports Breaking News.
The public was asked to stay away from the car.
The car was found by gardaà on patrol on North Richmond Street, and it was retrieved just before 4.20pm.
The man, who is in his 40s, was taken into custody on Monday night for violating the Unlawful Seizure of Vehicles Act of the Criminal Law (Jurisdiction) Act of 1976, reports Breaking News.
He’s being held at a north Dublin Garda station right now.
