In what can only be described as utterly shambolic, the HSE appears to have gotten their wires crossed in relation to just how many nurses were actually needed during the coronavirus outbreak in Ireland.
The HSE has come under a lot of pressure over the weekend in relation to just how many new nurses were appointed in Ireland to help fight the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Virgin Media News, the HSE confirmed to them that just 20 new nurses were appointed out of the thousands that came home to help fight the pandemic.
It’s understood that another 35 are due to start work shortly while some 235 were offered jobs but many of them turned down the work as some contracts didn’t suit them.
It means that some people left good jobs in Australia, America, the UK and Canada to come home to nurse in Ireland during the covid-19 outbreak but may indeed find themselves on the dole.
