Martin can’t allow international travel if it impacts vital services such as schools reopening




The new Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that country cannot risk international travel if it means that services such as schools can’t reopen.

Speaking RTE News, Martin said that it is hugely important that we don’t jeopardise our progress in suppressing the virus.

The Taoiseach who said that it is important that schools and othe services such as health screenings open immediately, also said that he is worried about the continuing volatility internationally where other countries have seen a rise in cases.

Martin added that although the subject is under review, he said that it is also important that we don’t put ourselves in a situation were a second wave to occur as it would not only be damaging to people’s health but also our recovering economy.
