China cooking up new gift for the world as experts warn of potential Swine Flu pandemic

Just as we move out of lock down for the Covid-19 virus, China may be about to export another plague to the rest of the world, this time in the vain of a new Swine Flu outbreak.

While there has not been the same alarm issued by the World Health Organisation, experts have warned the world should be on alert even though as yet there is no evidence of human to human transmission of this strain of the Swine Flu virus as of yet.

Of course the WHO did say the same about the Covid-19 virus despite evidence supplied to them by Taiwan and Japan showing such transmissions which has led to accusations of undue Chinese influence on the UN organisation with the US cutting funding off from the WHO in retaliation.

The virology experts monitoring the swine population in China have said they have found what they call “a recently emerged genotype 4 (G4) reassortant Eurasian avian-like (EA) H1N1 virus.”

Their use of the term “Eurasian avian-like” has not yet been condemned as racist but we can expect any time now.

Despite this and the fact that China has had a number of new outbreaks of the Covid-19 virus the EU has recently agreed to permit Chinese citizens to travel freely to the block. Fortunately, Ireland is not party to this arrangement due to Common Travel Area with the UK.
