Mary Lou McDonald does not rule out going into government with either Fine Gael or Fianna Fail

It’s already been an election to remember but it appears that the drama may well just be starting as the coming days and weeks will prove vital to the make-up of the new government and Dail.

Speaking in the RDS, Sinn Fein’s Mary Lou McDonald did not rule out a coalition partnership between Sinn Fein and Fianna Fail or Sinn Fein and Fine Gael.

Rumours have been circulating that she was speaking on the phone to both Leo Varadkar and Micheal Martin in the AM part of Sunday as it was emerging that Sinn Fein were going to do better than many had predicted.

It also emerged that the Green party’s Eamon Ryan reportedly had a missed call from Mary Lou McDonald but hadn’t spoken with her as of Sunday night.

What do you think? Who would you like to see Sinn Fein in government with?
