There have been many calls for the Irish government to put measures in place that would extend a full harsher lockdown in all 5 counties that border Northern Ireland.
It’s understood that greater follow up measures are being called for people who travel in and outside the border.
However, the Minister for Justice has put her foot down that there is going to be no sealing of the border exclaiming that she doesn’t need to explain why, presumably because of the threat of troubles that could kick off as a result.
