Met Eireann has extended its weather warning for low temperatures until Monday as the cold snap continues.
The nationwide warning will remain in effect until 11am on Monday at least.
Daytime temperatures are expected to remain in single digits for the next 2-3 days, plummeting to below freezing at night.
Current forecasts point to a relatively milder but more unsettled period from mid-week on.
