Met Eireann is forecasting a few weeks of mostly fine weather as high pressure takes over.

According to the national forecaster, Ireland will experience an extended period of mostly dry and settled weather, with unusually warm temperatures for the time of year.

Between now and mid-October, there is no indication of major rainfall or cold spells.
