Met Eireann is forecasting a freezing night ahead, with temperatures set to dip to -2C.
According to the national forecaster, the cold weather will be followed by showery conditions on Friday afternoon, with clearer and drier weather developing later in the day. Temperatures will again sink to below zero on Friday night.
Saturday looks like a mostly dry day, with just some scattered showers around northern areas, and temperatures reaching 10-11C at best.
Sunday is forecast to be rather wet and windy but milder, with temperatures hovering at around 14-15C.
