Met Eireann is forecasting rather miserable weather conditions for the next 48h, but slightly better weather is reportedly on the way for the weekend.
There will be heavy showers across many areas of counties Cork, Kerry, and Waterford, with the possibility of sustained rainfall elsewhere too.
Those three counties will also be affected by strong winds, with speeds of up to 100km/h at times.
Saturday and Sunday will see temperatures reaching double digits, with brighter weather forecast for Sunday in particular.
