Met Eireann have issued a status orange weather warning for Munster, Carlow Kilkenny and Waterford.
The national forecaster claims that there’s a “high risk of thunderstorms for the rest of this evening and tonight with a risk of localized flooding.
“Greatest risk along the south coast. Rainfall amounts are uncertain. But between 30 and 40 mm are possible.”
A second separate weather warning warranting a status yellow thunder warning has been issued for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath and Meath.

Thankfully, the warnings are only in place until 6am.
