
Met Eireann have issued a status orange warning to motorists over forecasted heavy rain.
Motorists have been warned of potentially treacherous driving conditions at times today, with the worst affected areas being the midlands, west and northwest of the country, with some localised flooding likely.
However, good the good weather will resume tomorrow. The heavy showers will die out towards this evening, giving way to another fine day on tomorrow, with temperatures forecast to hit 25C for most of the coming week.
