Friday will see a marked change in temperatures as a cold airflow turns towards Ireland, with Sunday likely to be a snowy day across areas of Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Offaly, Longford, Louth, Meath, Laois, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow.

The coming week is expected to be rather cold, with sharp or severe frost overnight and temperatures dipping back below zero again during the first half of the week at least.
