Met Eireann has issued a nationwide advisory weather note, warning of very unsettled conditions from Monday afternoon, and particularly midweek as Storm Ciaran hits.
According to the note, heavy showers throughout the week are likely to cause further flooding as the ground is already waterlogged in many areas.
Storm Ciaran is expected to cause very wet and windy conditions throughout Wednesday night and into Thursday
