Met Eireann has issued a nationwide weather warning for snow and ice as a cold airmass moves over the country.
The alert will kick in at 8pm tonight and remain in place until 9am on Tuesday.
According to the national forecaster, temperatures will drop to -1C overnight, with widespread frost formation expected.
