Met Eireann has issued a reminder about its advisory weather note, as heavy rains will batter some areas of the country over the next few days.
According to the national forecaster, today, Wednesday, will remain relatively throughout the afternoon, with rain moving in during the evening. The rain will become widespread overnight, becoming drier by dawn.
Thursday will start off mostly dry, but rain will again develop by afternoon time.
New Year’s Eve will be dry overall, becoming wet overnight. New Year’s Day is forecast to be rather rainy, however.
The only good news is that temperatures will remain relatively mild, reaching 15C at times.
