Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow warning for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, and Longford as heavy rainfall is forecast for the next 24h.
The warning kicked in at 7am today, and will be in place until 7am on Monday morning.
The national forecaster warns of the possibility of localised flooding due to excessive surface water.
The weather is expected to improve significantly tomorrow, Monday, as temperatures are forecast to rise to 25C and beyond.
