The national forecaster has issued a Status Yellow warning for heavy rain affecting seven counties.
The warning, which covers counties Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford, will be in place from 8pm this evening until 9am on Thursday.
According to Met Eireann, up to 20-30mm of rain might fall in some places, potentially leading to localized flooding.
