NatWest has announced that it’s seeking up to 550 redundancies across the UK.
It is understood that the bank is not considering compulsory redundancies. Instead, it’s looking for ‘volunteers’, who will be offered a ‘comprehensive’ package.
Covid-19 is not thought to play a role in this move. The company said that the need to reduce staff numbers addresses a ‘customer shift’ towards online banking.
