Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow warning for two provinces ahead of miserable weather over the weekend.
The warning, which covers Munster and Connacht, will be in place from noon on Friday until the same time on Saturday.
According to the national forecaster, there will be heavy rainfall, possibly thundery in places, and the possibility of spot flooding.
