From 3 a.m. on Saturday until 2 p.m. on Sunday, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, and Donegal will be under a status-yellow wind warning.
Clare, Limerick, and Kerry will all be under a similar warning starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday for 24 hours, reports Breaking News.
Strong winds are expected to peak on Saturday night and continue into Sunday morning, according to Met Éireann.

The effects might include “wave overtopping and/or spray, difficult travelling conditions especially near the coast, and some fallen trees,” according to the national meteorological bureau, reports Breaking News.
From 7 a.m. on Saturday until 9 p.m. on Sunday, the UK Met Office has issued an alert for severe winds across northern regions.
It issued a warning that some transport disruption is anticipated to result from a protracted spell of severe winds over the weekend, reports Breaking News.
According to Met Éireann, there will be rain heading east over Ireland on Monday, although the winds will subside by the beginning of next week.
The weather for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and St. Stephen’s Day is expected to be moderate, largely overcast, and dry with occasional light showers or drizzle, particularly in the northern and western regions, reports Breaking News.
